The Board of Directors opened the October 8 Board meeting by addressing feedback from Co-op owners regarding the storefront tabling policy and the election process.

Financial Highlights
The Co-op is celebrating a significant milestone, with nearly $500,000 in positive net income. For the first time since 2014, we are also excited to distribute approximately $64,000 in patronage refunds to Co-op owners.

Employee Board Seat
There is currently one open employee seat on the Board. The Board plans to begin an employee election process to fill the seat before the end of the year. Following employee elections, the board will appoint the winning candidate to a one-year term.

General Manager’s Report
The General Manager highlighted the success of the recent 20% Off Fall Sale, which ran more smoothly from an operational standpoint than the spring sale. Overall, the event was a success.

The new water heater in Eureka has unfortunately broken down again, and the team is exploring solutions to address the ongoing issue.

Annual Owner Meeting Recap
The Annual Owner Meeting was a wonderful opportunity to connect with Co-op owners and share important updates. The meeting included a report from the General Manager, a financial report, an update on the Board election, statements from Board candidates, and an owner’s comment period.

Along with these updates, attendees enjoyed great food, fun giveaways, and meaningful connections with fellow Co-op owners. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the Annual Meeting a success!
