Fresh Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese

This recipe is great to spread on celery sticks, crostini (small pieces of toasted bread), wraps or anything else you would eat with flavored cream cheese. Leftover herbs can be used in a simple pasta sauce, or double this recipe and share with friends.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces container cream cheese (or cream cheese substitute), softened
- 3 Tablespoons milk (or milk substitute)
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 2 Tablespoons chives (from Claudia’s Herbs)
- 2 teaspoons thyme (from Claudia’s Herbs)
- 1 sprig of rosemary (from Claudia’s Herbs)
- 2 teaspoons Italian parsley
- Zest shavings from the peel of one lemon
- ½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
Directions

Mash together milk and cream cheese with a fork in a medium bowl until creamy.

Remove leaves from rosemary sprig and chop finely.

Finely chop the rest of the herbs & garlic.

Add herbs & garlic to cream cheese bowl, mixing well.

Add lemon zest, salt and pepper. Stir again.

Place in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow the flavors to blend. Serve with assorted local veggies or bread.
