6:00 pm - 7:30 pmPlease join our Master Food Preserver volunteers at the Eureka Co-op in a celebration of Humboldt Green Week. You will get to participate in a hands-on demonstration highlighting one of springs' most delicious green vegetables: asparagus! This demo is a basic introduction to safe water bath canning techniques. Our volunteers will demonstrate equipment and research based methods for preserving food safely at home. You will receive a handout on water bath basics, preparing and canning pickled asparagus plus additional recipes for you to try at home.
