Co-op Community | Spring Quarterly 2021
Juneteenth Roundup
In honor of Juneteenth, the Co-op will again be donating all roundups made on Saturday, June 19th 2021 to Black Humboldt and Eureka NAACP. The Co-op will be matching donations up to $3,000 from our Cooperative Community Fund.
Juneteenth celebrates the abolition of slavery in the Unites States and commemorates the announcement of the emancipation of African Americans made on June 19, 1865. Black Humboldt and Eureka NAACP will be holding Juneteenth festivities both virtually and in person at the Arcata Plaza.
When you round up at the register on Juneteenth, you will be supporting Black Humboldt in creating safe-spaces for people of color in Humboldt County and promote and support local POC-owned businesses, as well as Eureka NAACP's local work to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination.
