2026 Seeds for Change Applications
The Co-op’s popular Seeds for Change round up program started back in 2020 and was close to being eliminated during the pandemic in 2021. Thankfully, our Northcoast shoppers understand that when times get tough, we give more, and the Seeds for Change program became stronger than ever. 2026 will mark the programs seventh year and as of July 2025, the program has contributed over half a million dollars ($558,662) to our community!!! Thank you to all the shoppers that round up their pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.
Each September local non-profit organizations and federally recognized tribal governments are welcome to submit a short application to get a chance to participate in the Seeds for Change program in the coming year. If an organization was a Seeds for Change recipient in 2025, it is not eligible for the 2026 Seeds for Change cycle. Full details of eligibility and program expectations are in the application which is available at northcoast.coop/seedsforchange starting September 1.
Later in October and November Co-op members will vote from a list of qualified applicants (last year there were 43 to choose from). Winners will be announced in early December. If you know of an organization that you think would be a good fit for this program, make sure they know applications are accepted throughout the month of September.
