It's that time of year! We're hosting our 48th Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, October 10 at 10am. It's our second year of conducting AMM online and we have a lot of exciting things planned.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING FAQ
How can I attend the meeting?
Members can access the meeting by going to www.northcoast.coop/AMM in the browser of their choice to access the Zoom meeting. Additional zoom details are available at www.northcoast.coop/amminfo
Do you need to be a member to attend?
The Annual Membership Meeting is for members to celebrate membership and the Co-op, but nothing is to stop someone logging in to join us.
Do I need to RSVP to attend the Annual Membership Meeting?
No, the meeting is open to all members. RSVP is only required for members that want to reserve a free tasting package for one of the two tastings at the meeting, though we would appreciate to know if you’re coming! Members can RSVP without signing up for a food tasting.
Do I need to have Zoom downloaded to participate?
No, you do not need the app installed on the computer. The meeting can be accessed through a web browser.
I have Zoom installed, but do I need the latest version?
No, you do not need the latest version, but it is recommended to have at least version 5.3.0 which came out last year. Current version is 5.7.8 as of this writing.
What if I don’t have a computer or smartphone?
Call-ins are welcome at AMM, though the visual aspects of the meeting will not be experienced. Members wanting to call in can call +1 669 900 6833 and follow the instructions for the meeting.
I can’t make the meeting; will there be a recording to view later?
Yes, a recording of the event will be available at www.northcoast.coop/amm in the days following the event.
How long is the meeting?
We are shooting for about 90 minutes.
What happens at AMM?
This year there will be a re-cap of the past year at the Co-op, Board of Directors candidates will have an opportunity to make a statement, a Sustainability Report, breakout sessions and a choice of two food tastings.
What is a Breakout Session
Breakout sessions are the portion of the meeting where attendees split into groups and discuss moderated topics. This year’s topics can be found on the AMM posters.

Cocao Cocoon - Cocao Cocoon is a family-run chocolate company in Arcata, offering honey spun chocolate from single origin cacao. Attendees of this tasting will receive a selection of Cacao Cocoon’s chocolate bars.
Clendenen’s Cider Works - Clendenen’s Cider Works is a family-operated apple orchard in Fortuna, offering fresh fruits, honey, and other seasonal produce. Attendees of this tasting will receive a selection of Clendenen’s Cider Works apples.
What is in the food tasting package
The food tasting package will include a set of Clendenen’s Cider Works apples or Cacao Cacoon chocolate bars, depending on which package selected when RSVPing. The package will also include free promotional items from the Co-op as well as information related to the Annual Membership Meeting breakout sessions. The first 40 members to RSVP at each store will receive a free Co-op promotional tote bag.
Where/how can I RSVP?
Members wanting to participate in one of the two available food tastings can RSVP at our Customer Service desk at either store. Members will need to provide full name, member number and their selection of which food tasting they want to participate in and which store they would like to pick up their tasting package. Members will be given a redemption ticket as a reminder of their tasting package pickup date.
When/where can I pick up my food tasting package?
Packages can be picked up at Customer Service of chosen store beginning on October 8. Redemption ticket is required for pickup. Packages will no longer be available for pickup once the Annual Membership Meeting begins at 10:00 on Sunday, October 10.
Can I RSVP to both tasting sessions?
No, both tasting sessions will run concurrently, so only one can be attended.
Do you need to be a member to RSVP?
Yes, you need an active membership number to RSVP. Food tasting packages are limited to one per membership number.
Can more than one food tasting packages be reserved?
No, Food tasting packages are limited to one per membership number.
What if I RSVP’d but can no longer make it?
